I am applying to rejoin Team Stages. I have been a team member since the very beginning! Team Stages was even the first team I ever applied for and I continue to be amazed by the support, team comradery, and communication. I feel like I have embodied what the team stands for and I represent TeamStages in every event and workout i partake in. I only started getting into triathlons in 2015. I didn't know how to swim, I didn't own a road bike, and running was nothing I took part in as a sport. This year I will be racing in the Ironman World Championships and received my slot by placing 5th Overall female at Ironman AK, I took 1st female 4th finisher in the Chafe 150 mile bike race, 1st female 6th finisher at the Seattle to Portland, and have 2nd placed podiumed in another smaller triathlon just this year! I have accomplished this all while going to grad school full time to get my doctoral degree and my Nurse Practitioner, I work as a perioperative nurse supplemental, I'm a part time clinical instructor for WSU, a mom of two, and a wife. I wouldn't be able to do any of this without the support, patience and love from my family!
One thing I've loved our Zwift team workouts during off season as they provide me motivation, accountability, and consistency. I have appreciated being part of a team that is supportive and accountable because it has helped me grow even further. As a team member, I have made new, long-lasting, friendships, have performed in races with team members, have shared on numerous accounts my passion on social media, and I just can't express how proud I am to be part of such an elite group of individuals.
This has been a strong year for me and I think it really took off with our group Zwift rides on Thursdays and Saturdays early in the year! Such a fun and enthusiastic group of people to keep one motivated when the Saturday morning ride starts bright and early and builds into longer distances by the end.
I have proven this year that I belong in triathlon more than I ever have before, but more so, that I am a solid bicyclist. I am a strong team member, team player, and team mate. Not only do I want to continue to grow as an athlete and boast about my Team Stages family.
Thank you!
