My names Alex Johnson I am a 22 year old cross country mountain bike and cyclocross racer from Fort Collins Colorado. I race collegiately at Colorado State where I was able to represent them at mountain bike and cyclocross nationals where we won the omnium competition for club teams. Apart for the collegiate season I race full season of XC and CX. My XC and CX schedule looks like a lot of local and regional events as well as some bigger travel races. Some of my goals are to race a few UCI events this year and race well at U23 nationals. I am very excited to get into this XC season and CX season later.
I love riding my bike whether that be my MTB, CX or road. The bike has been a great tool to learn new things about myself, meet new people and get closer to the amazing outdoors. I really enjoy the cycling community in Fort Collins, we have a great people and I love being a part of it! I’ve grown up in this community and have friends and fans at all the races. Whether that be the state championship series or the local short tracks. I have a good relationship with the Ciclismo youth team; I like being someone the local kids can look up too and answer their questions on race day. At the end of the day it’s all about having fun on the bike and I try to embrace that every time I ride.
