Family. Triathlon. Research. After finishing graduate school, getting married, having a kid and getting a real job, I returned to triathlon with the goal of getting back to the Age Group National Team. There were some obstacles to overcome, but I achieved this goal in 1999... just in time for Pandemic! Pandemonium, no more podium... and another long pause for me and everyone from 2019 to mid-2022. In spite of - or perhaps because of? - all my racing experience, I thought I might pick up right where I left off, but repeating AG qualification was not to be. Next year, I turn 50. I remember back in my 20s, I thought I might do an IM by the time I turned 30. Well, 50 is the new 40 is the new 30, so that's my current goal.
