I raced mountain bikes at UCLA in 1994-1995, but now I ride strictly road (and now I ride MTB in the off-season). I ride a retro 2003 USPS Trek 5200, a not-as-retro 2007 Trek 5000 and a comparatively modern 2016 Cannondale Trail 2. I just bought a retro 2001 Litespeed Arenberg. I do short rides, long rides, cross-country rides, time trials, road races. I might try a crit one of these days. We have crits here every Tuesday.
My favorite rides include European Aids Vaccine Ride 2002; Cycle America History Maker 2004; Busselton Half Ironman (Cycling) 2009; Bong Time Trials.
