I have been biking for the last 30 years. Stages power meters have been a fundamental of training and my normal riding life on my cannondale bikes. I have been training with my coach Filipo Barber director at SpeedLab.
On April 14 2019 I suffered a devastating accident while racing at the Sea otter. I had just come from the Pan American MTB games in Aguas calientes Mexico and a month before I had just raced the Sunshine Cup in Cyprus. I was racing for my home country of Costa Rica.
Since the accident it’s been a long road to recovery and self discovery and how important cycling is in my life.
The struggles from the injuries and changes in my life has not stopped me from keeping active and Even though the recovery is going on 8 months I’m happy to know that 2020 will be a better year on and off the bike for me.
I love the sport and the freedom cycling gives us. I’m active in our cycling community in South Florida and Costa Rica also participating in cycling foundation helping kids with low resources cycle and achieve their dreams of competing.
I divide my time with the work at a Major US Airline and my family in the US and CR.
