I am a Type 1 diabetic looking to change the stereotypes around what diabetes looks like. I am very open about the challenges and struggles training with Type 1 diabetes in an effort to let other diabetics know that they are capable of much more than they think so long as they set their mind to it. I upload my weekly race series/proper criterium race footage to youtube as well and have garnered a following there.
I am very active in the cycling community in Chicago and have been considered an ambassador for the sport in the scene here. I have introduced many of my closest friends to the sport, and have even convinced a few friends to buy Stages power meters (I have 2!). I have never been afraid to voice my opinion or advocate for what I believe in.
