Have been racing (with heavy emphasis on timed events on the velodrome) since I was 15. Currently at loose ends since the permanent closure of the Alpenrose Velodrome. Looking for new challenges. Before the closure of the velodrome, had been discussing an attempt on the World Cargo Bike Hour Record with the west coast distributors of Harry vs. Larry cargo bikes. Still would like to make an attempt, but need to figure out the logistics of hauling a cargo bike to the next closest velodrome (in the Seattle area). Am a dedicated year-round daily commuter and generally participate in a least on organized ride a season (generally a century or metric century). When not riding, I spend time with my family (have a 11 year old daughter and 15 year old son), read science fiction, and drink lots of coffee.
