I was first introduced to the world of triathlons at the age of 8 by my dad. Growing up in Santa Barbara, CA, I was able to train outdoors year-round building my skills as an athlete. I competed in other sports during high school but always came back to triathlons through my love of cycling. In college, I competed with the triathlon club on campus and began focusing on the longer distance Ironman races. My goal became to one day qualify and compete in the Ironman World Championship. In 2018, I completed my first full-distance Ironman in Mont Tremblant finishing in the top 10% for my age group. Since then, I have competed in two more full distance Ironman races where I improved my times and qualified as an All-American Athlete for USA Triathlon in 2019. In addition, I enjoy adding special challenges while training for Ironman triathlons. For example, I ran the Grand Canyon from Rim to Rim, rode some of California’s toughest road bike climbs, and hiked a large portion of the John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Over the years, I have been building my career as a personal trainer. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kinesiology. I have been in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and endurance coach for over 15 years. My most recent endeavor was to open a small personal training facility in 2020 then we expanded to include group fitness classes in 2021 that focus on indoor cycling. I’ve enjoyed this new challenge of balancing business ownership and continuing to train at a high level.
