Went with the early move and held on for 2nd in my division and 4th overall on the Short Course
Hard racing with lots of elevation gain. For not wanting to climb, I sure do race a lot of climby races.
Good times slogging my way up the mountain! Went with the early move on the flat road section prior to the climb. Once we hit the climb our trio turned into a duo. Tried to hold fellow Team Stages competitor Taylor's wheel up the climb but he puts out too many watts ?. Settled into a hard but steady pace with 2 other riders that caught me on the climb but they dropped me after the turnaround at the top on the downhill. They were a bit better equipped to tackle the fast, rough and loose descent. Did my best to try and reel them back in on the road section where I had the advantage but ran out of real estate by about a half of a mile.
